Executive Director’s message on the COVID-19 situation

AECO is extremely saddened by the devastating situation that COVID-19 has caused for people and nations around the world. The situation also pertains to AECO, our members, their employees, customers and owners, in addition to the communities our members visit, local partners and businesses. These are challenging times for everyone, but AECO and our members are working tirelessly to prepare for changes and for operations to resume as the situation allows for it.

The ability to adapt to change is one of the many positive characteristics of the expedition cruise industry, and we are convinced that together, with our partners, we will find the best ways to minimize negative impacts. We would like to acknowledge that we understand that all stakeholders are working day and night to deal with the impacts of the Coronavirus. AECO is too, but if you see anything that our association can assist with in this situation, please do not hesitate to contact us.
