The Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO) represents an industry in growth and constant development. As AECO’s HR manager, you will get the opportunity to use your skills within an organization working to advance responsible tourism and environmental stewardship. Our secretariat currently consists of seven highly competent and motivated people. We are an agile organization and the HR manager will play an essential role in managing our most important resource, namely our staff. This job is very varied and may develop over time, both in line with the development of the industry, the competence you bring to the table and your professional development in your role with AECO. You’ll have both operative and strategic responsibilities, and work closely together with management and partners.

Main tasks and areas of responsibility

  • HR management and administration
  • Legal compliance within the HR area
  • Strategic HR work
  • Recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
  • Development of staff
  • Responsibilities within HES

Your background and fields of expertise

  • Relevant higher education
  • Experience and success from HR positions
  • Ability do develop HR and HES strategies
  • Knowledge of HR legal frameworks
  • Fluency in a Scandinavian language, and proficiency in English

  • Like to work in teams together with colleagues from different backgrounds
  • Structured, with good time management skills
  • Good management of multiple tasks without supervision – and thus also a healthy dose of initiative
  • Adaptive to both internal and external changes
